Golf equipment is sold on marginal gains and bought on feel, and the gap between those two is where most of the money goes. A driver head that tests longer on a launch monitor may not be longer in your hands, because the fitting — shaft weight, flex, loft, lie — usually matters more than the model on the sole. The same is true down the bag: a premium putter buys milling tolerance and finish, not a stroke you do not already have. So these guides lead with what a category is actually for and what separates one tier from the next, then say where a cheaper option does the same job. Where we hold a retail partner for something, that is disclosed on the page and the link is marked as paid; where we do not — golf resort bookings, for one — nothing is offered, because an unrelated card under a course guide answers a question nobody asked.
